Disabled Athlete Sports Association Winter 2012 Programs/Events

 

 

The Following are our DASA Coming Programs and Events for Winter 2012.

You Must Call and Register with the DASA office by January 12th to reserve a place in each Program. If there are not at least 5 participants in any program by Jan. 12th we will have to cancel that program.

 

Come Learn to play ambulatory or wheelchair tennis with DASA.

Beginners and experienced tennis players are welcome.

 

When: Beginning March 14th 6:00PM-7:00PM.  Will be every Wednesday 6-7:00PM

Where: West James Courts in St. Charles, MO

We Must have 5 participants signed up to have this program.

 

Must RSVP by February 29th.

Learn to Swim

Open to anyone. Choose only one location, one night, and one time.

When: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays

Beginning: January 16th, 17th, and 18th.

Monday Nights

Location: The Club at Chesterfield

When: 5:45-6:15PM

Tuesday Nights

Location: The Club at Chesterfield

When: 5:45-6:15PM or 6:30-7:15 PM.

Wednesday Nights

Location: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at Westport

When: 6:00-6:45

 

Power Soccer

Come Learn how to play power wheelchair power Soccer.

Location: Wedgewood Elementary

When: 10:30Am-12:00PM   Dates to Participate:  02/11, 02/25, 03/03, 03/17, 03/24, 03/31

 

 Fencing

Come Learn from Bruce Sikes with Academy Fencing Club.

Location: The Club at Chesterfield

When: Every other Monday night, 6:00PM-7:00PM

Beginning: January 16th

Last Monday: February 27th

 

SCUBA Diving Clinic

Come SCUBA Diving for the first time or SCUBA again.

Where: Ladue High School

When: February 25th, 12:00PM-2:00PM.

 

Snow Skiing

Come Skiing at Hidden Valley. All Adaptive Ski Equipment Provided.

Beginning: January 9th

Where: Hidden Valley Ski Resort

 

Competition Sled Hockey

When: Sundays 11:50AM-12:50PM

Where: Lindenwood University Ice Arena in Wentzville, MO

 

Swim Team

Location: Ladue Horton Watkins High School 

When: Sundays, Time: 5:00PM-6:00PM

Beginning: January 8th

Special Events

Power Soccer Tournament

Come Watch Our DASA Power Soccer teams Compete against other Power soccer teams.

When: February 18th and 19th

Where: St. Charles Community College

 

DASA Golf Tournament

When: May 14th

Where: Bear Creek Golf Course in Wentzville, MO

 

 

Our programs need volunteers. If you are a cyclist, swimmer, run, can type on a computer, want to help, or have any gifts to share please get involved. If you have volunteered in the past or are interested in being a new DASA volunteer, please call the DASA office to see how you can get involved.      

 

Attention: 

The program charges are $30.00 per athlete, per activity. Please call the DASA office to register and pay by credit card.

 

Scholarships are available for those that may need help with the $30.00.
