Are you new to DASA? 

DASA is a Paralympic Sports Club that recruits individuals 5 years to adults with permanent physical, visual, or hearing impairments who are cognitively able to follow rules of a game without assistance and who have difficulty participating in sports with their non-disabled peers because of their physical limitations.

All new potential athletes MUST complete the form and then wait for confirmation prior to enrolling in any DASA programming listed on this page.

Here is what will be available for SPRING registration:

Archery: BULL'S EYE is the name of the game! Learn the skills and technique needed to get that bull's eye every time! Adaptive equipment available. When: Sundays 6:30-7:30. 3/15- 4/19. Where: St. Louis Bowhunters Club, 301 Tecumseh St, St Charles. $35 for the session. 

Boccia: Boccia is a game of strategy and accuracy. The sport is played on a flat, smooth surface, where players must throw or roll colored balls as close as possible to a white target ball, known as the "jack." The player, pair or team with the most balls near the jack is the winner. When: Thursdays 6:00-7:30. 3/19- 4/23. Where: Central County Fire Station, 109 McMenamy Rd, St. Peters. $35 for the session.

Adaptive Rock Climbing: Adaptive Rock Climbing is an amazing sport for our athletes. At DASA, we make sure that every kid can make it to the top! We have experienced rock climbers making sure this activity is completely safe for our athletes and volunteers.  When: Tuesdays 6:00pm-7:30pm. 3/17-4/21. Where: Upper Limits-Maryland Heights. $90 for the session. $18 for a class.

Adaptive Yoga: EVERYONE can practice yoga! We offer classes lying on the ground, seated on the floor, seated in a chair or wheelchair, kneeling or standing. When: Wednesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm. 3/18- 4/22. Where: The DASA Box, 1600 Mid Rivers Mall Circle, St. Peters (INSIDE Mid Rivers Mall). $35 for the session.

Super Scuba Diving Day: Join us for a day in the pool as we learn to SCUBA Dive and play in the pool! Siblings are allowed! Minimum age to SCUBA is 10. If your child is 8 or 9 years old and interested, please contact Meghan at [email protected] BEFORE you register them! No one under the age of 8 may register. When: Sunday, March 29th 1:00pm-3:00pm. Where: Ladue High School, 1201 Warson Rd. $15 per person.

Paralympic Powerlifting: Athletes must be at least 11 years old to participate. There is no maximum age limit! Para Powerlifting is open to male and female athletes with physical impairments. The bench press is the sport’s single discipline. Competitors must lower the bar to the chest, hold it motionless on the chest and then press it upwards to arms length with locked elbows. Athletes are given three attempts and the winner is the athlete who lifts the highest number of kilograms. When: Wednesdays 6:00pm -7:00pm. 3/18- 4/22.  Where: Ability Gym, 1600 Mid Rivers Mall Circle, St. Peters (INSIDE Mid Rivers Mall). $35 for the session.

Swimming: We have three nights of swimming lessons, all swimming levels welcome:

  • Mondays: Two 45 minute sessions to choose from: 6:00-6:45 or 6:45-7:30. Where: Chesterfield Athletic Club (16625 Swingley Ridge Rd, Chesterfield). 3/16- 4/20. $35 for the session.
  • Tuesdays: Two 45 minute sessions to choose from: 6:00-6:45 or 6:45-7:30. Where: Chesterfield Athletic Club (16625 Swingley Ridge Rd, Chesterfield). 3/17- 4/21. $35 for the session.
  • Wednesdays: Two 45 minute sessions to choose from: 6:00-6:45 or 6:45-7:30. Where: Doubletree Hotel at Westport Plaza (1973 Craigshire Rd, St. Louis). 3/18- 4/22. $35 for the session.
SWIM TEAM: Competitive/Travel or January-May ONLY 2020: Must be able to swim at least a 25 meter length of the pool independently and Must be able to swim more than 10 laps in a one hour practice session of any stroke independently. When: Sundays 4:30-5:30pm Where: Ladue High School, 1201 Warson Rd, St. Louis, MO 63124 

Competitive/Travel Team 2019-2020: The Travel/Competitive Team travels to various competitions in the Midwest. DASA will cover registration fees to competitions if athlete is registered on this team. Some travel to Jr. Nationals is reimbursed as well. $150 for the remainder of the season.

January-May ONLY 2020: Free local competitions, does not include entry to Gateway Games or Jr. Nationals travel reimbursement. $50 for the session.

Track and Field: 
Try your skills at racing on the track; throwing the shot put, discus & javelin; and flying high in the long jump!
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays Time: 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Dates: Begin March 17th- July 19th.
Primary location is Parkway Central High School but occasionally location changes, so please contact the office to find out where practices are being held. Practice will be held at Lindenwood University on 4/2, 4/7, 4/16, 4/23.

Recreation is $50.
This cost will get you into practice Tues. and/or Thurs. each week from March 17th- July 16th Gateway Games will be the weekend of May 16th- May 17th. Practices continue on May 19th - July 16th.  The recreation fee of $50.00 does NOT include your registration fee for Gateway Games if the athlete were to enter and participate in the Gateway Games.  

Competitive is $150.
This cost will get you into practices Tues. and/or Thurs. each week AND will cover your Registration Fee to our Gateway Games and the National Junior Disability Championships (Athletes will still need to register themselves for these competitions).

Golf-  Our 1st 8 week session begins April 28th and goes thru June 18th. WHEN: Tuesdays and Thursdays. TIME: 6:30-7:30 p.m. 
WHERE: Tuesdays at Crystal Springs, Creve Coeur Lake ; Thursdays at Family Golf Plex on Hwy K


Our website company has started adding a $3 charge to all orders. DASA is unable to control this and does not receive this money.
