DASA offers one of the Midwest’s largest selections of competitive adaptive and Para sport opportunities, giving athletes the chance to train and compete locally and nationally. Many sports offer both developmental and competitive pathways, welcoming athletes who are new to the sport—no prior experience or personal adaptive equipment is required to get started. Athletes must have a qualifying physical disability that impacts functional mobility, while DASA provides coaching and adaptive equipment to support participation and a high-quality experience.
Each sport follows a defined season and competition schedule established by its National Governing Body, with competitive athletes typically participating in weekly practices and traveling to tournaments as part of the season.
